Legislative procedure replacing the codecision procedure with effect from the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon (1.12.2009).

Definition

Normal procedure for adopting EU legislative acts, whereby the European Parliament and the Council, acting jointly, adopt a regulation, directive or decision on a proposal from the Commission.
