History

Central and Eastern European countries associated with the EU through association agreements. Eight countries joined the European Union in 2004 (Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia) and two in 2007 (Bulgaria and Romania). In 2007, the list of CEEC countries comprises Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia.</skos:historyNote
